Sigrid Werner

Centre Manager

Sigrid gained her first experience in office administration as a student. Studying for a degree in Theology, she also worked as a part time student administrative assistant at the International Office of Union Theological Cemetery in NY, USA.  

She then worked for several big and small church congregations both in Germany and the UK, before becoming the administrator at a community centre in Notting Hill, London.

She has been the Soanes Centre Manager since September 2001and has lived in Tower Hamlets since 1998 . She is a local historian in her spare time, and also a trustee of Setpoint’s 'sister' charity at the Soanes Centre (the Friends of Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park), a committee member of the East London History Society, the Friends of St. George’s German Lutheran Church, Aldgate and a member of the Tower Hamlets Inter Faith Forum.  In her spare time, she enjoys knitting, crocheting, sewing, painting and woodwork.
