ABOUT US
WHAT WE DO
Our mission is to support local schoolchildren in discovering the world around them. We want to inspire children to continue their scientific investigations long after they leave school. We organise our science workshops outside of the traditional classroom setting - using the fabulous resources in Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park (our ‘outdoor classroom’) to bring a scientific topic to life. What better setting to carry out scientific observations than in this biodiverse 33-acre woodland nature reserve?

We also organise STEM workshops for Primary and Secondary schools @ your school. All workshops can be tailored to the needs of your class group. Just let us know in advance what you need.
OUR IMPACT
As a registered charity, we are here to make a difference. Our focus is on inspiring local children in science and the world around them – inviting them to appreciate nature on their doorstep, as well as helping them to develop scientific curiosity.

Delivering around 250 workshops per year at the Soanes Centre, and others in schools

Reaching more than 7,500 schoolchildren per year

Delivering workshops to over 60 schools in Tower Hamlets and neighbouring boroughs

Catalogue of workshops aligned to National Curriculum topics that are regularly updated and adapted to needs
